    地理优势：南山风景旅游区位于广元市中区城区南部，山体长约3.5公里，宽约1.5公里。最高海拔942米，最底海拔为480米，高山部分坡度较陡峭，达30°～45°，中底部山坡较缓为10°～15°。风景区主要乔木树林有：马尾松、柏木、桤木、青杠、扬槐、水杉、油桐、核桃等，灌木树种主要为马桑、火棘等。森林覆盖率80%。南山的山脊线高出城市平均约400米，与城市整体融为一体，既起到维护好城市的生态环境的作用，又为城市市民及外来游客提供一个容易抵达的风景旅游场所。
    历史文化资源优势：1、广元位于四川省北部，川陕甘三省交界处。在历史上素有“秦蜀交通要道”、“川陆之会”、“四集之国”、“一方之都会”、“蜀北重镇”等美称。2、南山旅游景区内还包括了“接官亭”的古剑门蜀道约1.5公里和清朝康熙年间的“二郎关”旧址。规划建议恢复此两处古迹。3、1933年-1935年，中国工农红军第四方面军把广元开辟为革命根据地，南山也曾是红军战斗过的地方，国家青少年革命教育基地——“广元红军文化园”一期工程已建成。
    客源优势：广元作为“蜀北重镇”，预计2010年广元市中心城区人口数将超过50万人。随着宏观调整和中国西部地区的崛起，旅游人数将逐步增多。鉴于南山风景区的性质定位界于城市公园与典型风景区的中间类型，设定600平方米/人的最低人均占地面积(6000亩)，旅游旺季最高日容量为5333人。
    五、项目内容：“会议度假村”、“原始区”、“别墅区”、“综合服务区”、“游乐区”等功能区项目建设。
建设条件：该项目已进行了甲级总体规划。
    六、项目投资：5亿元人民币
    七、经济效益：该项目建成后，每年可实现利润6192万元(103.2万人×60元=6192万元)，投资利润以15%计算，投资回报期为10-15年。

Geography Advantage: South hill scenic spot is located in south downtown of Guangyuan city, with highest elevation of 942 m and lowest elevation of 480 m. Insid e the spot, there are many trees such as masson pine, cypress, walnut and metase quoia. With the forest coverage of 80%, south hill is about 400 m higher than city elevation, integrating with the whole city. It not only plays a role of protecting ecological environment, also provides an easy-reached scenic spot for citizens and visitors.
Historical And Cultural Advantages: 1. Guangyuan city is located in north Sichuan, on the juncture of Sichuan, Sanxi and Ganshu. Historically, it has always enjoyed the reputation of being "vital communication line between Qin and Shu", "ca pital of river and land", "the country of collecting all kinds of products from four directions" and "key county of north Sichuan". 2. There are some other historic sites, including "Pavilion of receiving officials" about 1.5 km away Jianmen pass, and "Erlang pass" built in Qing Dynasty. Both historic sites are in the repairing schedule. 3. From 1933 to 1935, Chinese Red Army set Guangyuan as a r evolutionary base, so south hill is also a place that red army had fight on. Nat ional juvenile revolutionary education base "Guangyuan Red Army Cultural Park" h as completed its first period construction.
Tourist Advantage: As the key county in north Sichuan, Guangyuan is estimated to have more than 500 thousand population in downtown area in 2010. With government macro adjustment and development of west China, the number of tourist will progressively increase. As the characteristics of this spot is of a medium type between city park and typical scenic district, it plans to have 600 square meter of minimum coverage (600 mu), and 5330 person of maximum per day capacity in tourist peak seasons.
Content: It includes construction of vocational village for conference, primeval district, villa district, comprehensive service district and amusement district. Construction condition: the project has made Class A overall plan.
Investment: 500 million RMB
Economic Analysis: On completion of the project, the annual profit will reach 61 .93 million RMB (1.032 million person * 60 RMB = 61.93 million RMB). If the rate of investment profit is 15%, within 10 to 15 years the investment capital can be returned.
